Feeding the hams

Hey, hamster experts! This is our second round of trying to feed Snkrs medicine through a dropper, and she is getting increasingly uncooperative. We try to hold her in a cloth while we do it, both so she won't bite us and so she won't associate us with the feeding, but it is getting near impossible to feed her, and she just ends up ornery and traumatized.

Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

Vet visit #2

Our hamster's hiccups came back for a short while this morning, so I quickly got an appointment with our vet. He believes it may be early signs of gastrointestinal disease, which leads to "wet tail," so medicine was prescribed accordingly. Her poop is still solid, and I've seen no sign of diarrhea yet, plus she's still eating normally, so we may have caught it early enough. I have huge thanks for the awesome few of you who pointed out the potential seriousness of her symptoms.

Conflict

You know, Annie was whining the other day that the site wasn't getting enough attention, and mom was explaining that it was probably because it was only about us, (to which I was like, duh, who wants to see the whinings of two hamsters) or maybe because there wasn't enough conflict.

I totally have to disagree with her on that because there is totally some conflict in our cage. Why, this morning, Annie and I completely bit each other and squeaked and then mom and dad separated us and then we stopped. It was crazy. God I wish I had some peanut butter to take the edge off.

You know, as annoying as my sister is, and I would never hurt her like this, sometimes I know how Fred and Rose feel:

At least, that's what we settled on after freaking out and thinking she might be choking and attempted a tiny hamster Heimlich. But no, all she needs is some water.

hi annie here. thought u should know something about our blog - that's the one for snkrs and me (gawd snkrs is so pretentious! she thinks that taking all the vowels out of her name will make her more l33t or wahtever. maybe more street. i don't know. so annoying.) anyway (and you won't believe this) snkers (oops OH NOES! A VOWEL!) and i are going to be STARS. can you believe it? i am so excited.

see, our dad writes this totally popular and hilarious comic but he won't put us in it! he says it's not the place for young hamsters (also something about a melon pool cornering the market? wth?) we beg and plead and snkrs is all like, "cute animals == so much cash" but noooo.

so we decided to go all indy!!!!! (i hear Maggie Gyllenhaal got her start that way) mom took some film classes and now we have a webcam and i'm totally ready for my close up.

i have so much branding potential. (shut UP about the "camwhore" snkrs. I am NOT LISTENING) (she's fat) (the best she can hope for is comic relief) (also i can bite her where it counts later)

anyhoo, i am so excited i totally i have to trim my teeth on our wood toys in case someone's watching!
